Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 7, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Brayniak collects, uses, and shares information when you visit or use Brayniak's websites, accounts, courses, subscriptions, and course communities, together called the Service.

Questions about this policy or your information may be sent through the Contact page or to the mailing address in the Contact section below.

2. Information you provide

We collect information you provide when you use the Service. This may include:

  • Your name, email address, password, and other account information.
  • Community posts, replies, and other content you submit.
  • Messages and other communications you send to Brayniak.
  • Other information you choose to provide through the Service.

3. Account and security information

We process information needed to authenticate accounts, verify email addresses, reset passwords, and help protect the Service. This may include account verification status, password reset records, session information, and records related to multifactor authentication and account recovery where those features apply.

4. Course and service information

We maintain information needed to provide courses and operate the Service. This may include subscription and enrollment records, course access status, instructor assignments, and service usage associated with an account. Where available, we may remember the last lesson page you viewed so you can continue from that page later.

5. Payments

Stripe processes payments and subscription billing for Brayniak. Payment information entered during checkout is handled by Stripe. Brayniak does not store complete credit or debit card numbers.

Brayniak receives and processes billing information needed to operate subscriptions and course access. This may include Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, product, price, invoice, transaction, and status identifiers, along with related dates and amounts. Stripe handles information under its own privacy terms.

6. Community content

The Service allows eligible course participants to submit posts and replies. Community content may be stored, reviewed by assigned instructors or course staff, moderated, and displayed according to the Service's features and moderation rules.

Some conversations between an author and course staff may be private to the eligible participants. We do not promise automatic deletion or a fixed deletion schedule for submitted content.

7. Technical and security information

We may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request information, session information, security logs, and diagnostic information. We use this information as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the Service, prevent abuse, investigate problems, troubleshoot errors, and, where analytics or performance tools are enabled, understand and improve the Service.

8. Cookies

Brayniak uses essential cookies for account sessions, authentication, security, core site functions, and remembering privacy preferences. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other parts of the Service from working correctly.

Brayniak may enable analytics and performance technologies in the future to understand how the Service is used and improve its reliability and experience. Examples may include Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, including session replay and related performance insights. If enabled, these tools may use cookies or similar technologies and may process page views, interactions, browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and diagnostic information.

Brayniak may also enable advertising and conversion measurement technologies in the future. Examples may include Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Meta advertising or conversion tools. If enabled, these technologies may use cookies, pixels, tags, or similar technologies to measure conversions and campaign performance or support audience measurement and advertising.

These examples do not mean that any of these tools are active today. If Brayniak enables or changes nonessential analytics, performance, session replay, advertising, or conversion measurement technologies, we will update this policy to describe the practices and available choices.

9. How information is used

We use information to:

  • Create and maintain accounts.
  • Provide course access and remember the last lesson page viewed.
  • Operate subscriptions and reconcile billing information received from Stripe.
  • Provide course communities and moderate submitted content.
  • Send transactional messages, including email verification and password reset messages.
  • Secure the Service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and maintain or improve service operation.
  • Where applicable and enabled, understand Service use, measure performance, and evaluate advertising campaigns or conversions.

10. Service providers

We use Stripe for payment processing and subscription billing. We may also use service providers for hosting, email delivery, security, diagnostics, analytics, performance measurement, session replay, advertising, conversion measurement, and other technical operations where applicable.

Examples of services that may be enabled in the future include Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Meta advertising or conversion tools. Naming these examples does not mean that they are currently active. These providers may process information as needed to provide their services to Brayniak or as otherwise permitted by their terms and applicable law.

11. Sharing

We may share information with service providers as needed to operate, support, and secure the Service. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, enforce our agreements, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect the rights, safety, and security of Brayniak, the Service, and others.

If advertising or conversion measurement technologies are enabled in the future, information may be shared with the applicable providers for the purposes described in this policy and under their terms. We will update this policy as those practices change.

12. Retention

Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Different kinds of information may be kept for different periods based on those needs.

13. Your choices and privacy rights

You may update available account information and security settings through your account page. You may use the Contact page for privacy or account questions and requests.

Additional privacy rights may apply depending on where you live. We may need to verify a request and may retain information where reasonably necessary or required by law.

14. Children

Brayniak is not knowingly directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Service, contact us so we can review the situation.

15. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or our practices change, including when we add or change analytics, performance, session replay, advertising, or conversion measurement technologies. When we update it, we will revise the Effective Date shown at the top of this page.

You can also review our Terms of Service.
